You will oversee and optimise all aspects of the supply chain process within the business, including managing the flow of goods, services, and information from the point of origin, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, stock accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to develop and implement strategies that enhance the overall supply chain performance.Key Benefits:25 days holiday + bank holidays.Highly competitive salaryDiscretionary Company BonusJoin a fast-paced business that invests in their employees.Pension scheme.Critical illness coverA supportive working environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting to the Managing Director and indirectly to the Global Supply Chain Manager, you will develop and implement supply chain strategies critical for business needs.Analyse current supply chain processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction.Manage an experienced team of Material Planners, Production Planners and a Warehouse ManagerSupplier management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.Inventory management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.Demand forecasting: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.Continuous improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyse data, and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.Team leadership: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the supply chain team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons whilst at workCooperate fully with all health and safety instructions and arrangementsReport any health and safety related accidents, incidents or concerns to Supervisors/ManagementThe Candidate;Required:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related fieldExperience in managing complex supply chains and a high volume of productionProven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a managerial roleWorking knowledge of ERP/MRPWorking Knowledge of Information Systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX), and Microsoft SuiteStrong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trendsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong negotiation and communication skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesDesirable:Experience working in Automotive Manufacturing, within a Supply Chain capacity.Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.You must be strong-minded, assertive and take ownership of your work.At Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion and collaboration.
