Role - Welder

• Welding different materials, mainly Carbon Steel & Stainless Steel. Thicknesses >3mm.
• Welding using different welding processes, mainly FCAW and TIG.
• Welding butts and fillets to a high standard in varying positions.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Adhering to weld procedures and relevant quality procedures.
• Self-inspection of all welds.
• Adhering to all HSE related standards associated with welding.

• Relevant Time Served Qualification in Welding or Minimum 3 years shop floor experience.
• Welding ability: FCAW & TIG in down hand (PA) and vertical (PF) positions.
• MIG/MAG solid wire experience will be considered in leu of FCAW experience.
• Able to pass welder qualification tests to BS EN ISO 9606 for FCAW & TIG.
• Experienced in welding of carbon steel and stainless steel. Thicknesses >3mm.
• Use of power tools in the back grinding and dressing of welds.
• Use of welding tools and equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work to meet acceptance standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and welding symbols.
• Ability to read and interpret weld procedures.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and risks associated with tasks.
• Experience with working from route cards & weld maps. - Bonus
• Heavy engineering experience. - Bonus
