Igloo are looking for dedicated individuals to join our client's team in York on a permanent basis!

The Role:As a Yard Operative, you'll play a crucial part in the yards’ day-to-day operations by completing the following tasks: * Dismantling, stripping, and part removal from vehicles.

* Conduct daily checks on plant and machinery, reporting defects for prompt repairs.

* Perform basic operations maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, and yard upkeep.

* Accurately record vehicle information.

* Strip and grade tyres.

* Work in different yard areas as needed.

* Deliver excellent customer service when required.

* Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

* Undertake other duties as directed by your line manager.

What kind of person are we looking for?

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following qualities: * Full driving licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences * Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Excellent customer service skills * Great communication skills, both written and verbal * Strong attention to detail * Confident in the use of handheld devices.

* Basic IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
