Following rapid growth in recent years we are currently upgrading our Finance function and to facilitate this we have created the new role of Accounting Manager.

A large and international structure

Thermotraffic is a 100% subsidiary of the Nichirei Corporation.

Our objective is to offer a seamless, end-to-end multi-temperature warehousing and logistics chain.

In doing so we provide services to importers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors.

You will therefore be working within a substantial and proven organization that offers all the resources necessary to do your job to the best of your ability.

A varied role with an international element

The role of Accounting Manager encompasses wide ranging Finance functions and budgeting processes for all sites/activities within the UK.

As such, you are responsible for key tasks including:

• Month end closing for multiple entities/business segments;
• Cashflow control and monitoring daily account processes;
• Year-end audits;
• VAT and tax returns (collaborating with tax advisors);
• Further statutory and industry reporting requirements.

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, you will join a UK accounting team of four committed financial professionals.

You will also work closely with the Finance team at our European Head Office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

This is a role for an all-round financial professional who can apply a real focus to the details while meeting tight deadlines.

You should also be an excellent communicator who can interact effectively with all levels of our multicultural and international organization.

The key requirements are:

• A strong financial background and ACCA qualified;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Highly skilled with Excel;
• Ideally you have experience of Business Central;
• Willing and able to travel to our UK sites and Rotterdam if and when necessary.
