This role is predominantly home based with a requirement to attend either our Harrogate, Bury St. Edmunds or London office at least once per month.

Purpose of the Role

This exciting Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst opportunity has arisen to manage all AP reporting that will improve or solve a particular business need and will involve continuous data analysis to keep management informed of key statistics and trends. You will create regular and ad hoc reporting and perform moderate to complex queries.

What you will do

This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more:

  • Assist in developing and updating statistical reporting of department's key performance indicators.
  • Continuous communication with key stakeholders on issues and opportunities affecting operations, provide training and guidance where necessary.
  • Implement task automation and process improvements; recommend enhancements that result in increased quality and efficiencies.
  • Recommend and develop ways to improve efficiencies for reviewing daily/monthly reporting processes.
  • Report and manage Purchase Order compliance across the business. Work cohesively with Manager and cross functional heads to ensure there is an upward trend in Purchase Order compliance.

Who we are looking for

This is an opportunity for an organised, methodical individual with excellent planning skills and the ability to think independently, is willing to learn and work as part of a team. We are looking for someone has:

  • Strong Experience working in an Accounts Payable/Finance based role combind with extensive experience creating data analytics and using analytical techniques using Power BI.
  • Experience of Finance ERP systems - Dynamics D365 is desirable
  • Can demonstrate a track record of developing data models and analysis to support business goals.
  • Experience using data mining and analytical tools to extract, analyse and manipulate data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead presentations and attend meetings with senior management & key stakeholders.
  • Advanced working knowledge in Excel essential.
