Assistant Accountant in Chatteris

Role: Assistant Accountant Location: Chatteris Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4:30pm & Friday 9am – 4pm Salary: circa £40,000 per annum depending on your experience Benefits: 20 days holiday + Christmas shutdown (3 days given for this as extra holiday) & 8 bank holidays, 4x salary death in service and private medical insurance. Duties will include: * Management of the nominal ledger * Reconciling balance sheet accounts * Ensuring all accounting ledgers are kept up to date and accurate * Assist in preparation of weekly profit and loss forecast * Preparation of monthly management accounts * Supporting senior management team with decision making * Dealing with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including PAYE & VAT * Preparing for year-end audit process * Preparation of annual budgets * Assist in re-forecasting process * Assist with cash flow management and reporting Skills and Experience Required: * 3+ years’ experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced Finance team * Hold an accounting qualification or working towards (for example AAT or CIMA) * Working knowledge of Microsoft systems including Excel * Drive and enthusiasm * Willingness to roll up sleeves and be hands on * Desire to advance in your career So, are you ready for your next job?
