Bookkeeper Hereford Up to £26,000 DOE Puro Accountancy are pleased to be working with a leading accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team in Hereford. The firm provides a wide range of accounting services to clients in various industries and are looking for a bookkeeper who can manage a portfolio of clients with accuracy and attention to detail, using double entry bookkeeping.Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and complete financial records for clients using double entry bookkeeping
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial accounts using double entry bookkeeping
Manage and process payroll, including tax and other deductions, using double entry bookkeeping
Prepare and file VAT returns using double entry bookkeeping
Communicate with clients regarding financial matters and respond to their queries in a timely manner
Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
Excellent knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
