Buyer / Estimator in UK

Eden Scott are delighted to support CRC as they seek to add a Buyer / Estimator to their team.

CRC is a growing company that focuses on rural/environmental civil engineering and trail path design and construction.

As a result of this continued growth, CRC has an opportunity for a Buyer / Estimator to be a leading part of the commercial team and contribute to the success of CRC’s projects by ensuring efficient procurement processes and accurate cost estimations.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify requirements and then source and procure materials, equipment, and services required for projects to meet their timescales
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, establish favourable terms and conditions and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documents to assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects
• Assist with producing regular reports on project costs, budget forecasts, and potential risks to senior management
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all procurement and estimation activities.

Applicant Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement, estimation, or a related role within the construction industry
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
