The Role

We are seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to architect and

oversee the company’s technology strategy and roadmap for our evolution into a SaaS-based product

offering. This pivotal role demands a visionary leader with a strong blend of technical, strategic,

and commercial skills to guide the company through a critical stage of technological evolution

and product development.

As CTO, you will report directly to the CEO and play a central role in the company’s growth and

technological advancement. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of technology,

ensuring alignment with our business goals and delivering exceptional value to our global client

base through innovative and stable products.

Key Responsibilities

Visionary Leadership across Technology Departments:

· Cultivate a visionary approach to leading the technology departments, including

Software Development, QA, and Platform Infrastructure, anchoring them to the

strategic technological architecture and the company’s product vision.

· Champion the integration of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, guiding

departments towards delivering superior software solutions that resonate with

product objectives and customer needs.

· In this capacity, the CTO ensures the alignment of departmental activities with the

technological blueprint, facilitating collaboration and innovation across teams to

realise the vision for high-quality, reliable software products.

Architectural Oversight of Infrastructure and Information Security:

Architect a future-proof strategy for infrastructure and information security that

complements the SaaS product's vision, empowering the CISO and the Head of

Cloud Architecture and Operations with a clear framework to execute and advise

on.

Lead the charge in securing and maintaining ISO certifications, showcasing their

Solutions' dedication to security and compliance while empowering the CISO and

the Head of Cloud Architecture and Operations to operationalise these standards.

Define the strategic direction for the organisation's security frameworks,

empowering the CISO and the Head of Cloud Architecture and Operations and their

teams to implement and refine these practices, ensuring the CTO's vision is realised

through effective execution and guidance.

Leading Product Evolution and Technology Innovation:

· Incorporating Feedback into Tech Development: Ensure close collaboration

between technology and product teams to swiftly incorporate customer feedback

into technological enhancements. Motivate the development team to have a strong

customer / product centric focus.

· Enhancing Products with Tech Leadership: Directly tie technological decisions to

the needs identified by the Product Department. Make sure that every tech solution

or enhancement introduced is in response to product development goals, ensuring

that our technology is always the best fit for our products’ evolution.

· Empowering Clients with Customisation: Provide clients the tools to easily

customise the company’s Platform, aligning with feedback and requirements gathered

by the Product Department. This empowers clients to adapt our solutions to their

needs, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.

· Adopting Advanced Technologies: Lead the adoption of AI and user-friendly

development tools to keep the company’s Solutions at the industry forefront. Ensure these

technologies not only improve internal processes but also directly support the

product enhancements defined by the Product Department, maintaining our

competitive edge.

· Championing Innovation and Leadership: Drive the organisation to integrate

cutting-edge technology with product development insights. Foster a culture were

technological innovation is guided by product needs and customer feedback,

positioning their Solutions as a fintech leader through responsiveness and

innovation.

Your Personal Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, organisational awareness, risk & regulatory
  • change management, communication, and collaborative working skills.
  • 10+ years of leading and managing Software Development and cloud-hosting teams,
  • in multiple locations; with project management, resource management, and
  • resources management capabilities.
  • 10+ years' experience running medium to large / complex software development projects
  • multiple dependencies. Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against
  • deadlines.
  • Strong experience in a range of development methodologies. Recent working knowledge
  • experience in Software Development Lifecycle in an Agile and / or SCRUM
  • Deep knowledge of IT / software technology and trends, application development, web
  • middleware, databases, programming, and business intelligence.
  • Demonstrable experience in translating a product vision into delivery strategies and a
  • product development roadmap - and relentlessly driving execution against them.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Candidates will need to show that they have the leadership experience to drive and inspire
  • product development team and wider business.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in Payments, Accounting, Finance Reporting or Financial Software.
  • Basic Knowledge of accounting / payment providers / fintech.
