Job description

We are working in partnership with secondary schools in the Bury LA, and we are looking to secure the services of an outstanding graduate who can operate as a COVER SUPERVISOR, on an ad-hoc basis for the remainder of the current academic year. There are full-time and part-time roles available. Along with this role, there are other opportunities for shorter-term agreements with the schools, pre-booked, to cover “pinch points” during their calendar. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to build on their experience in the education sector, before applying for Teacher Training.

The role of the Cover Supervisor is invaluable, and your main responsibilities will be to provide short-term cover for absent members of teaching staff. This could be across any subject in Secondary Schools – but don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert in every subject! All the work will be set, and you will be responsible for maintaining discipline and behaviour standards, whilst providing clear instruction and guidance to the pupils.
