Data Product Manager

Connecting and standardising this data positions 4GLOBAL uniquely in the

provision of the following services:

• Predict the likely outcomes of significant investment in sport and physical activity programmes at a local and

national level

• Benchmark the impact of new sports and activity investments

• Analyse the actual behaviours of citizens and how they participate (or not) in sport and activity programmes

• Target certain citizens to maximise the impact of specific programmes nationally or at a granular grass roots level

• Set the industry standard used to provide data driven insight to inform investments in sport and physical activity

programmes

• Work with our clients to predict what will drive participation This cannot be replicated without the data that we

currently hold; We have a monopoly in this insight capability

Job Description – Data Product Manager

As a Data Product Manager at 4GLOBAL, reporting to the Product Delivery Director, you will be at the forefront of

managing the integration of data from over 30 provider companies into the DataHub, including leisure

management systems, membership management systems, and various public and private data sources.

Your role

extends to maintaining the highest data quality in our database, generating data logic for key performance indicator

(KPI) calculations for our core products and services, and overseeing the development of APIs by the technical team.

This position demands a blend of technical acumen, project management skills, and a deep understanding of data's

role in product development and enhancement.

Responsibilities:

• Data Integration Management: Oversee the integration process with data provider companies, ensuring

accurate data matching and seamless setup of new integrations.

• Quality Assurance and Data Logic Development: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within our

database.

Develop and maintain the logic for KPI calculations that underpin our core products and services,

working closely with the technical team to implement these via API development.

• Technical Liaison and Support Coordination: Serve as a bridge between the technical team and data providers

to facilitate the development and implementation of integrations.

Assist the support team in resolving

integration-related issues, providing expertise to ensure continuous operation.

• Data Quality Control: Implement and maintain best practices for data management, continuously monitoring

and enhancing the quality of data in our database.

• Project Scoping and Stakeholder Engagement: Define requirements and scope for new integration projects,

ensuring alignment with company goals and client needs.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders,

effectively communicating project statuses and addressing any concerns related to data integration.

• Performance analysis: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and

impact of data in the products.

Use data-driven insights to iterate on product features and improve overall

performance.

Essential skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.

• Proven experience in data management, integration, or a similar role, preferably within the sports, leisure, or

health sector.

• Strong understanding of data structures, databases, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and API

development.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient in project management and communication.

• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Desirable skills, qualifications, and experience:

• Experience with SaaS products and cloud-based data services.

• Knowledge of data privacy and security standards.
