Apply NowZenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based in the North East and are looking to recruit an Electrical Biased Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure that plant, machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired as required to ensure the effective operation of the Plant.
An Electrical bias is required for this role however current day to day activity is currently predominantly mechanical.
Shift Pattern2 Shift pattern– Monday to FridayDay Shifts are 6am – 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 1pm FridayLate Shifts are 13.
50pm to 10.
20pm Monday to Thursday and 13.
50pm – 4pm FridayThe specific duties for the role are set out below:Safety Responsibilities * Actively support the Company’s goal to ‘create a zero-injury environment’ and adhere to health and safety requirements * Encouraging all site employees to report close calls/near misses * Participating in Company safety improvement activitiesOperational responsibilities * Assisting in the installation of machinery and equipment * Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of a range of equipment, including PLC * Analysis and resolution of electrical and mechanical faults and repairs * Timely response to equipment breakdowns and completion of equipment repairs * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on a range of winders, conveyors and robots in accordance with manufacturers recommendations and Industry/Company practices * Accurately recording and communicating maintenance information * Effective involvement in continuous improvement activities to achieve results * Ability to provide and co-ordinate engineering project support * Taking an active involvement in operational improvements, both systems and plantActivities Responsibilities * Ability to read and understand Technical drawingsSystem Responsibilities * Knowledge of computer based maintenance/breakdown recording systems
