The Role

The Health and Safety Advisor position is a key part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across all levels of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulating and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conducted and reported on H&S audits in line with ISO standards, ensuring actions were completed and collaborating with audit providers and the leadership team for action evaluation and completion guidance.
• Performing risk assessments and suggesting preventive measures.
• Examining equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions.
• Investigating accidents to identify causes and manage claims.
• Advising on improvements or new prevention measures.
• Reporting on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
• Delivering health and safety training throughout the organisation.

About You

• Relevant health and safety qualifications (NEBOSH General or equivalent).
• Experience in a health and safety advisory role, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
• Knowledgeable about UK health and safety laws and practices.
• Skilled in writing health and safety reports and policies.
• Competent in data analysis and statistical reporting.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
