Maintenance Engineer in Sandown

Role: Maintenance EngineerSalary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum, plus benefits and opportunitiesHours: Monday to Friday, 8am till 4pmLocation: Commutable from Sandown, Shanklin,Newport, Ryde, Cowes and surrounding areasCompanyWe are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their smaller factories on Isle of Wight.

It is a multi skilled environment, however either bias, including those who are pure mechanical or pure electrical will also be considered.

ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory, and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side, whether this be mechanical or electrical.

Your main and primary role is supporting production machinery.

This includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems.

Working through planned preventative maintenance.

And lastly all and any project work too such as new installations etc.

RequirementsMaintenance or Service background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated etc.

But most considered.

Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold an engineering qualifications - this could be mechanical or electricalSome/ANY of the following experience; motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
