The Company:
Part of a multi-national group, our client is a leading plastics manufacturer with a strong reputation for providing innovative solutions to a fast paced and demanding customer base.
The Role:
- Senior member of the Executive Leadership Team
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the operations strategy and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business across a range of markets it operates in.
- Breadth of the role touches most aspects of the business, including oversight of a significant manufacturing footprint, logistics, purchasing and ownership of the “end to end” order fulfilment process.
- Requires a high degree of teamwork and collaboration with engineering, sales, finance and HR.
Person Profile:
- Minimum of 7 years senior operational management experience covering the key functions of manufacturing, supply chain and health & safety
- Qualified to a minimum of degree level the candidate will possess a high degree of intellectual rigour and a desire to analyse and optimise the use of data in the business to drive strategy and performance
- A track record of working with an established S&OP process
- Significant people management experience ideally with teams of over 150
- Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing techniques and how to use these as a template to deliver
- operational excellence
- Ambitious, persistent, resolute with gravitas and a demonstrable ‘can do’ attitude that both colleagues and customers buy into
