SoCode Recruitment is hiring on behalf of one of their reputable clients.

Our client is a machine learning company operating within the legal sector who are looking to scale massively throughout 2024 and into 2025.

They have a well-regarded product in the market and a client base to match this.

Their product has been developed by industry-leading experts and is proven to be adding value to their clients by saving them time and money.

We are looking for mid-level or senior software engineers who are skilled in both TypeScript and NodeJS.

This could be somebody who is looking to step up into a senior software engineering role or somebody that is already established and operating as a senior software engineer - what is important is the attitude and ambition to keep learning.

You will have the opportunity to take the lead on complex projects throughout the entire software development life cycle and to also take ownership of decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead on engineering initiatives.
• Mentor other engineers in software development and promote an environment for learning and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and system architecture.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in coding, testing, and maintenance to ensure excellence in software development.
• Take ownership of decisions and be accountable for the results, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert for one or more areas of our technology stack and assist others in those areas.

Requirements:

• More than 3+ Years of commercial experience.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the attitude to continue learning.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with FE frameworks is also a bonus.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a Top 200 Global University with a First or 2:1, preferably in a STEM subject.
