Treasury Manager

Manchester

Based in Manchester, the Treasury Manager will support and direct a revamped Treasury team following the growth and development of the business in recent years.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the treasury team of 2, delivering a first-class service to the business, and supporting the Senior Treasury Manager in managing bank exposures and borrowing facilities. In addition, the Treasury Manager will also be responsible for assisting in the delivery of ongoing treasury projects, including the enhancement of the Treasury Management System (IT2) 

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing the treasury team, consisting of 2 Treasury Analysts
  • Manage banking and counterparty exposures, bank fees, to ensure that they are appropriate for the services received 
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts for Group liquidity management 
  • To oversee, update, and manage the Group’s bank accounts, monitor financial control and mandates, and advise business units on operational banking matters 
  • To support and improve the cash management systems and processes of the Group
  • To maintain and ensure static data on treasury systems is kept up to date, together with access control management 
  • To assist the Senior Treasury manager to produce the monthly treasury report, before discussion with Head of Group Treasury
  • To maintain and improve treasury processes and procedures and in line with UK SOX and best practices
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as required 
  • Work effectively and efficiently to tight deadlines and targets in line with the needs of the business 
  • Maintain up to date procedures in respect of automating systems and processes 
  • Monitor bank accounts and improve forecast accuracy on cash flow forecasting and systems 
  • Support the Senior Treasury Manager & Head of Group Treasury to deliver key objectives, continuous improvement, upskilling, training, and creating a culture of knowledge sharing 
  • Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short-term cash flows to ensure efficient liquidity management
  • Management of daily money market and FX dealing
  • What we need from you:

  • A treasury qualification, or willing to study and attend treasury courses
  • At least 3 years Treasury experience
  • A good working knowledge of Treasury Management Systems ideally IT2
  • Good reporting skills
  • Basic project management skills an advantage
  • An enthusiastic team player and motivator, with a willingness to learn and an ability to teach
  • Commercial awareness with an ability to demonstrate attention to detail and work within tight deadlines
