Apply NowSENIOR TEAM LEADER ROLE** Perm contract ****IMMEDIATE START**Industrial Recruitment Solutions (IRS) Ltd are working with the worlds largest seller of used books online and are looking to add a Senior Team Leader to their state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse and distribution centre based in Baginton, Coventry.
The role is a key appointment within the new Coventry warehouse operations team, contributing to the Group’s longer-term operational strategy.
The role will ensure the smooth running of the full operation process and safe working practices within our fast-paced environment.
The candidate will be reporting directly to the Team Manager and standing in for them in their absence.
The Senior Team Leader will need to work well within a team, offer leadership and the ability to meet and surpass performance KPI’s across their area of the business.
Must be able to work a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift pattern 8am to 8pm - £32,000 per annum.
Some of the key responsibilities for this new role are: * Plan for their areas daily target, head count and KPI expected * Brief area Team Leader on Health and Safety, the plan for the day and set expectations * Prepare for morning meetings with revised headcounts and targets * Provide line management for up to 5 Team leaders * Receive and allocate work and resources including labour, overtime and supervision * Deliver effective communication whilst working in a team environment * Able to work effectively with other departments to achieve business results * Manage disciplinary and performance issues * Undertake appraisals of all reporting staff as required * To carry out any other Ad hoc duties as required by the Team Manager or deemed as necessary by the organisation.
* Comply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absenceKey Skills * Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the working area * Practised in continuous improvement tools and techniques for practical application to problem solving * Actively promote and improve Health and Safety practices to achieve Company targets * Proactively prevent problems before they arise by taking a forward view of the plan and taking necessary steps to deliver daily targets * Ability to prioritise work assignments, according to urgency * Excellent people manager and motivator who has a number of different styles and approaches to use in any given situation * Experience of supervising teams of approx.
